Okami Review

okami-best-ps2-gameEver wonder what it means to work like a dog? Then try and play Okami. Although it’s technically a wolf, but that’s the closest you can get to being a dog I think :D . Okami is one of the best PS2 games that I’ve played in 2006. It combines fighting action (as a wolf), confusing puzzles, humor, annoying sidekick, artistic values, and a uniqueness of using brush strokes as one of your weapons against the enemies. That’s something you won’t see in many games. The graphics and lively colours of the game will also mesmerize you from time to time.

But in the gaming industry, sequels keep getting better and better. They will add new features, new maps, new techniques etc. Look at Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Winning Eleven and Gran Turismo. And thank God, God of War 2 is in the list of great sequels as well. It’s totally gonna blow you away. I would say this is one of the best ps2 games released this year. Every aspect of this game is totally awesome

You start off as Kratos, the same character you played in the first installation of God of War. After defeating Ares, Kratos is elected as the God of War. However, the ‘Gods’ refuse to forgive him from his past sins. Being an outlaw himself, this is not a good news for him so he goes rampage on Greece with his mortal Spartans. Later, the big Zues tricks him into fighting Colossus without his magical power in an attempt to stop Kratos, and subsequently banishes Kratos to the underworld. However, Kratos doesn’t stop there. With the advice and help from the Titans, Kratos makes his way out and tries to gain all of his power back for one single purpose – to kick the big Z’s a**.
